8 Months Old and Las Vegas Trip

Happy 8 Months Today to Lily !!! She is trying so very hard to crawl. She gets up on all fours, but then falls to the side. It won't be long... Bella left us last week to stay up north with my parents. The house seems a little empty with her gone (she does take up some space), but she has so much fun running around up there. With her gone, I have been able to get some hard core dog hair cleaning in. Today I scrubbed all the floors, and got up all the random paint drops that were on there in anticipation for Lily to be crawling shortly. We got home Thursday night from Las Vegas where we had an AWESOME TIME!! Lily was such a great age for a trip like that. She loved being in her stroller looking at all the lights and getting lots of fresh air. Swimming in the pool was another highlight for her; she is quite the little water bug. She kicks around of her tummy and then dips her face in too. Levi's first morning of meetings. Can you tell we were up until 3 a.m. (because of the time change)? The convention center was attached to the hotel, so we were able to walk with him to his meetings. We were so lucky to have grandma come along with us. Levi was busy all day and many nights, so it was nice to have her with to keep Lily and I company and to babysit when Levi and I went out to dinner. Thanks again Mom ! Monday was pretty chilly (upper 50's) so we went to a really nice outlet mall. Lily had a great time people watching! Lily and Grandma sharing a Monster Burger. Tuesday we walked the strip and did some shopping at Fashion Show Mall. This picture is in front of the Bellagio. Getting ready for our first dip in the water.

Viva Las Vegas

We have had a busy week of packing and getting ready to leave for Las Vegas! Levi is going there for a work conference, so Lily, my mom and I are going too :) We leave this evening and will be gone for the week. We are looking forward to some warmer weather. Last night we put together this new toy for Lily. She really likes to ride on it. When she starts standing, it can convert for her to push. Speaking of toys, Lily would rather play with the movies and pull them off the shelf.
We still have no visible sign of any teeth, but Lily continues to chew on everything. She loves to chew on frozen fruit in her mesh feeder.

Lily looks so big in this picture. This was a day last week that we were out running errands.

March 2011

Lily has completed her second week of Swimming Lessons at the YMCA. The first time she was a little nervous as the water was colder than what she's used to in the bath tub. By her second lesson, she was a lot more comfortable in the water. She does a great job of kicking her feet and doesn't mind getting her face wet. Here are a few pictures from Saturday. I will get some action shots next week and post them.
