Busy, Busy, Busy !!

Lily met Grandma Marlys (Levi's Mom) as she came to visit us from Bismarck. We had such a fun time and Lily loved being rocked to sleep at night by her.


My girlfriend Regan came in from Dallas that same weekend to meet Lily. We had a great time visiting with her and Lily slept all three hours that we were out for dinner.



Lily and I went to Brainerd last Wednesday to visit Grandma and Grandpa Ebert, Levi came up Saturday. We enjoyed some time on the lake, and Lily helped cheer on her uncle Dan to a victory Saturday night at his race.


On Saturday, Lily was ONE MONTH old!! We can't believe how fast the time has gone and how big she is getting. She is starting to focus her eyes on things and is interested in looking around at everything, especially the lights.

A trip to the beach !

On Sunday, Lily met her friend Tallula at the beach near our house. It was a short trip as Lily slept most of the time, but was nice to get out of the house for a while and visit with friends.

Newborn Photos

Lily had newborn pictures taken when she was just 11 days old. My two girlfriends, Angella and Amy, spent three hours with us taking pictures. Below are just some of the amazing shots. Thanks again ladies !!!

Doctor Check-Up

This morning Lily had a doctor's appointment and is doing GREAT!! She already weighs 8 pounds, and is 20.5 inches long. The doctor is continually impressed with the way that Lily is eating and gaining weight.

First Trip Up North To Visit Grandma and Grandpa Ebert

We just got back from a long weekend up north visiting the Eberts. A few highlights of our trip were Lily's first boat ride and going to her uncle Dan's car race. She loved being on the lake and spending time down on the dock. We can already tell that Lily is going to be a lake girl just like her mom and grandma. Only 4 more years until we can teach her how to waterski !!!! Saturday night we went to the stock car races to watch uncle Dan race. Lily slept through most of it, but was secretly cheering in her sleep :)

1 week old

I can't believe our little girl is one week old today!! She is growing and changing so much each day. She tries to hold her head up and is starting to smile in her sleep. Lily is a fantastic eater and loves to cuddle with us. She has many fun outfit changes each day, and loves to get dressed up to cheer on the Twins !!

First Pediatrician Visit

This morning we went in for Lilys first doctors appointment. We were so proud to hear that she has already gained 5.5 ounces!! The doctor said she would have been happy If she gained only 1 ounce. She is eating very well and doing great! She now weighs 6.5 pounds, almost back to her birth weight. Lily has been sleeping for about 2 hour periods during the night. She is such a sweet little girl, we feel so blessed.

Happy Birthday Lily Ann Geinert !!

Lily Ann Geinert was born on Wednesday, July 28th, 2010 at 5:52PM. She was 6 pounds 8 ounces and 19.5 inches long.


The birth story follows:
My water broke at 9:00 a.m. Wednesday morning. I called Levi and he was quickly on his way home from work. We got to the hospital around 10:00 a.m. at which point I was dilated to 5cm. I had not had any contractions yet, so we started walking the halls. After 1.5 hours with no progress, I started an IV of Pitocin. Within a very short time, I started having contractions, which got painful very quickly. I was dilated to 8cm by 3:30 at which time I had an epidural. After the epidural, I was at 10cm and it was time to push.
We welcomed our sweet baby girl at 5:52.
